I still think they failed at K.I.S.S.
That looks like a mess.
I think an engineer and a designer need to get together to clean that up.
I knew I should have used an example;
foreveryone saying that complex things look complicated I can think of 2 examples of EXTREMELY complicated items that are “beautifully” designed.
First example; the Intel CPU, [Lazy link for pictures](http://www.optics.rochester.edu/workgroups/cml/opt307/spr06/alex/) These CPU’s are designed by hand. Another great design is the ARM style chips that power just about everything in space.
The second example is the Dragon space [lazy link again](http://earthsky.org/space/spacex-dragon-spacecraft-scheduled-for-splashdown-in-pacific-today) Everything in space needs “ease of service.” When the crew on the ISS first looked at it they commented at how well designed everything looked and functioned.
But I’m guessing it was the hydro everywhere, the old school linemen tie’s that caught me off guard. And that only the filters have lock ties on them while half or more of the older connectors dont.
